The Diploma of Beauty Therapy course offers students intensive training in the beauty & spa industry to give students the skills to work in their chosen area of these exciting and rapidly expanding industries.

The Beauty Therapy Training Package has recently undergone an upgrade and AIBT will be delivering the new version of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy from February 2011. AIBT has packaged the new Diploma qualification with the focus on more holistic therapies and spa treatments that are in high demand in the industry. This means that the course will be covering the most up-to-date industry practices that will prepare students to work in resort spas.

ITECAIBT is ITEC approved, this means that our Diploma of Beauty Therapy course has been developed to the international qualification standards of ITEC and will prepare students to be able to sit the ITEC exams. Students have the option of sitting the ITEC exams to gain international qualifications in beauty therapy, which mean that you will be able to work internationally and on cruise ships! During the course students will have the opportunity to work with customers in the beauty and spa environment, performing treatments under supervision and guidance from the trainers. Spa treatments are the latest trend in the beauty industry and is a rapidly expanding market, by training students in the latest spa treatments available AIBT is opening the door for a wide range of employment opportunities for it's students.

Term Dates

The course runs over 40 weeks plus holiday breaks for 4 days per week from 9am - 3.30pm with a half hour lunch break. The term dates below include the ITEC examiniations which are optional. Student's who choose not to complete the ITEC examinations will not need to attend on the ITEC examination days.

Price:

The course fees are for a position in the course and are payable whether the student completes the course or not. Upon enrolling in the course, the student (and guarantor/s) becomes liable to the institute for the full course fees.

To secure a position in the course, student's must pay a minimum non-refundable course deposit of 10% of the 'Discounted Upfront Payment Price' (listed below).

Additional Costs/Required Equipment:

  • Student ID Card: $25
  • Printing & photocoping by student.
  • Basic stationary - e.g. display folder's, pens, pencil & rubber, highlighters.
  • 1 packet of colouring pencils.
  • Cressy's Beauty Therapy Fact File textbook is of benefit to students.
  • Students will be required to pay for their graduation dinner for themselves and any guests. Students will be advised on the price in advance - allow $80 per person.

Financial Assistance

Eligible students may be able to apply to Centrelink for either Youth Allowance (for full-time students aged 16 to 24) or Austudy (for full-time students aged 25 years or over). For more information visit the Centrelink website.

Application and Enrolment Process:

  1. Attend an interview at the college and complete an interview test - phone (07) 55 938 335 to arrange your interview. (If you live outside the South East Qld Region and are unable to attend an interview, contact us to have the application forms posted to you).
  2. Fill out and return the Application Form (this can be completed at the interview).
  3. Student's will recieve their acceptance/non-acceptance letter and enrolment pack in the mail - including enrolment form, payment plan forms and the student handbook.
  4. After reading the student handbook and enrolment forms, student's who wish to enrol must submit the enrolment form with the course deposit to secure their position in the course.
